Meat wraps - a simple and delicious way to present your mince meat rolls as presents :-)

by Ole Chavannes, 19 februari 2010

How to make it (4 persons): 'kitchen rope' (oven proof), 500 grams mince meat (beef), 1 egg, 50 grams breadcrumbs, 8 slices of bacon, 1 white coal, 6 potatoes, 2 red unions, 2 big carrots, celery and garlic.

Cut the potato, union, carrot and celery in equal pieces, sprinkle with olive oil, pepper and salt and put in the oven on 180C for 30 minutes.

In the meantime mix the mince meat with a raw egg, breadcrumbs and some pepper in a bowl. If you choose to make them more spicy, add some chili powder. Make 8 meat rolls between your hands and wrap each one in a piece of bacon.

Fry the bacon rolls for only 5 minutes on high fire (the meat inside is still a bit raw). Now get 8 big leaves of the white coal and wrap the meat rolls in them and tie together with the rope. Lay them in between the half cooked veggies in the oven for an other 30 minutes and your meat wraps are ready!
