There are lots of highland cattle or kyloe.

We're staying in a beautiful renovated forester house, enjoying lots of sea food and highland drinks.

This island became a nature reserve since 2007, where small scale tourism is allowed.

'Tiengemeten' arose from the Haringvliet in the 17th century. The size was probably about 10 'gemeten', a measure
they used in those days, which equals 0,5 hectares. Now the island has grown to a 1000 hectares (2,5 acres).
